I started using Freda on my PC quite a while ago and liked using the bookmarks for discussions in reading clubs. Recently I found the Freda app for my Samsung Android tablet, but when I tried loading, I get the books but no bookmarks.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Freda on the Android tablet which did not work among other things.
It would be really great to be able to be reading a book on the PC and be able to continue reading and using the same bookmarks on the Android tablet.
Any help appreciated.
Steve

Hi,
If you can connect the PC and the Android tablet to OneDrive, this is possible. To check that's working, first just try opening your OneDrive using the 'OneDrive book source' in Freda, on the PC and on the tablet. You'll need to go through some sign-in screens, but you should eventually get to the point where, on both PC and tablet, the Freda book source will show you a list of files and folders in your OneDrive.
Once that's working, you can manually sync bookmarks (and other things) from one device to the other. On the PC, start Freda, and choose 'backup (merge/save/load)', then select the 'save' tab on the screen, and choose the option just to save 'bookmarks+highlights' to OneDrive. Tap the save button at the bottom of the screen, and wait for it to finish. Then, on the Android tablet, choose 'backup (merge/save/load)' from the main menu, then go to the 'load' tab, choose just to load 'bookmarks+highlights', and tap the load button at the bottom of the screen.

I've tried what you describe many times with no success. In trying it again after reading your post, I noticed that when I look at the sources list there are two OneDrive folders labeled OneDrive and OneDrive1. I don't see any way to just load from 1 of these two. I suspect that the PC is using one and the Android the other. I will keep fooling around with it.
Thanks,
Steve

The suggestion led to my supposition that the two OneDrive folders were the problem. Thanks again. I had to delete the one drive on my PC and reboot. Then uninstall Freda on my Android tablet and load the files from OneDrive. There was a lot of fiddling in between that I would not want to have to repeat. But it seems to be working now. Hopefully it will continue to work.
