I'm excited to find that Freda is available for my phone. Maybe that's not news, but I only recently found it in the Google Play Store, though I've been using it on my desktop for a few years.

One feature that's high on my list of additional features is reference tools including both a dictionary and a "look up on the web" option for selected text. I believe I've seen other phone reader apps that use a dictionary plug-in, so maybe it wouldn't be too complicated to add that feature to Freda.

It seems Freda can be controlled by Windows Media Keys





This is annoying because it keeps interfering with my music and video player. I have checked Freda's settings, but there does not seem to be any settings to disable Media Key integration.

Is there a way to disable Media key integration for Freda?

Im just moving from moon+ so i can have a good reader across my android and windows devices.

i am using onedrive to store the epub books i wish to read and sync across devices.

freda correctly goes through the authentication, let's me see and manually download books, but if i tick on all the books, then on download, whilst the network activity, as expected, is then consistent, none of the books are actually being downloaded, but they are all in the library.

im sure its something i as a newbie have missed, but how can i download the approx 1000 books enmass pls ?

I accidentally started to add all of my books to the Freda library. I stopped the download but now have lots of "empty" books. Is there any way to use the check mark to select a number of books and delete in one go? At the moment I am having to do them one by one.

Hi, just downloaded Freda.  I read that it supported the .cbr file format, but I tried to import a .cbr file, but I don't see the option listed and it doesn't show the file when I select the directory (Folder, sorry old DOS user habit) it's in.  Or does it only support .cbr if you pay for it?  I'm fine with that if that's what I need to do, but money is tight, even $2, but I'd pay it so I don't have to download more ebook readers.  Thanks in advance!

I can't download my books from Google Drive to Freda ("failed to download"). I tap the box as instructed, set it up, but when I come back it tells me the same thing. Chrome is my default browser.

Any chance at all that you'd build in support for WebDAV (or OwnCloud/NextCloud) for multi-system sync in addition to OneDrive?

I was wondering if there was a way to completely hide or move the 'Sources' Column.  Currently you have a column 'Book Shelf, Sources, and Book'.  When I am reviewing my bookshelf to see what I want to read next, I use the content under 'Book' to make my decision.  Well the Sources column takes up a huge chunk of display real estate so I have to scroll horizontally just to read what is detailed under the book column.  I have hidden all my sources to see if this would reduce the column width and it doesn't.  I am running this on Windows 10, Microsoft Surface Pro 6.

i'm trying to install freda on my device, a casio cassiopeia e-125 running windows ce 3.0, mips processor.
i've downloaded FredaCab_2_0_104_WinCE.CAB (1.755.270 bytes) and installation went fine without errors.
but freda doesn't works: when i launch it the result is:
"freda.exe: cannot find 'Freda' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the
required libraries are available."
anyone can help me? thanks, spinox.

Is there any way to set the location to which Freda downloads files?
