Is there a simple way to run Freda on my current Win 7 HP system?

I did some quick searching, and apparently I could set up a dual boot system....but that seems pretty complex, and would most likely result in a number of other obstacles.

I currently use Moon+ as my Android reader; very happy with the ability to extract my annotations from various ebook formats and send to Evernote (for further note taking).

I'm trying to replicate that on my desktop; reading an EPub (or other format), making annotations, and then sending to Evernote.

I can get something like that to work with PDF's (using Foxit), and am trying to replicate for ebooks. Freda got high marks.

Hi!

I have just installed freda on Windows and I have tried to connect to my calibre server. Unfortunatlely it is not possible to cofigure freda such a way that it produced the correct target URL.

I need something like https://calibre.mydomain.com:8077/calibre1234 or respectively https://calibre.mydomain.com:8077/calibre1234/opds

All I succeeded by configuring the app was something like https://calibre.mydomain.com/calibre:8077/opds which is not working (as it's also not a valid URL)

Can I influence the String that freda builds/uses as target URL somehow? (e.g. by editing the registry?)

i have problem to connect Freda to Calibre. I have followed the support guide : http://www.turnipsoft.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=7, but the problem persist.
I think , because at the calibre server address, there is not a list of my books, but only a "presentation" page with a button labeled "my calibre library name". 
Only when i press the button the next page contain my books list. 
I have installed calibre 3.36.0

Is there a solution?

When I attempt to open an epub document, Freda opens the green screen but will not open any document. I really like Freda but this has me confused.
I uninstalled the Freda app, restarted, reinstalled the app, same thing, no document.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I having difficulty trying to highlight text?  Anyone know the procedure?

At present, if you select the text and click highlight, the default colour is blue. I was wondering if the user can change the default colour, which means when I select the text and click highlight, the colour will be yellow or something else. This will save me from the trouble of changing the highlight colour every time.

Thank you for your good work so far! I've downloaded your reader, because it's the only one I've found with auto-scrolling that doesn't need a mousewheel for it to work. there are however, several things that would make it even better :-)

1.) I can't controll the auto scroll speed with any keys (making it slow down a little bit or speed up), I always need to use the mouse/touchpad for that and I'd appreciate it greatly if this were possible

2.) I'm on a screen with horizontal layout (?) (I'm talking about a normal laptop screen) and I prefer having the text in one fairly narrow column (calibre reader does it the way I mean if you want a visual example), but I don't really have the option of adjusting the margins on the left and right (ideally, the text is in the middle with about the width it would have if I put in two columns of text instead of one)

3.) (by far the least important) maybe have the app recognize if it's on a touch screen capable device? all these options for tapping this and that make the settings fuller than they need to be if used on a normal laptop.

Should I have phrased anything confusingly or akwardly, I apologize, English is not my first language, I'm happy to clarify though :-)
Also, if one of these things are already implemented and I just missed it, sorry, and an explanation would be really cool

In Windows 10 version. Several times I've noticed my custom settings return to the default.

I want to add a particular dictionary for the search function in freda. But I don't know how to add the path.

The dictionary i want to add has the following path
C:\Program Files (x86)\COED11\coed11.exe

I am not good with coding, so can you tell me what to add in define text in the dictionary?

Whenever I try to dl a book from Smashwords it never works. It goes through the motions (showing a very quick downloading bar, placing the book in the bookshelf) The book comes up blank, or it gives me an error when I try to open it saying that the file did not dl or the file is corrupt. This happens to all book that I try to dl paid and free. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
